We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Repair Technician. You will be expected to perform the duties and responsibilities as assigned by Paragon Hydraulics, which includes but is not limited to:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and manuals.
- Inspect, remove, disassemble, repair, reassemble and test electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Perform installation, repair, overhaul or modifications in place or in shop to electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Assist in performing component and system troubleshooting to diagnose issues.
- Assist with accomplishing pre-repair/pre-installation ship checks and initial reports.
- Handle WAF submittal and coordination, project work package updates and quality assurance documentation, daily reports, inspections reports, condition reports and material identification as required by the project.
- Travel to client ships and sites for service, repair, and certification
- Perform hydraulic ram/cylinder overhauls
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Candidate must have at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, transit decks, and perform work on Navy vessels.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
- Self-starter with the ability to work well with others.
- Comprehensive writing and communication skills.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Navy Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical systems.
- Must be able to obtain DBIDs pass and other clearances required to complete certain jobs.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
