We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Repair Technician. You will be expected to perform the duties and responsibilities as assigned by Paragon Hydraulics, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and manuals.
  • Inspect, remove, disassemble, repair, reassemble and test electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Perform installation, repair, overhaul or modifications in place or in shop to electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Assist in performing component and system troubleshooting to diagnose issues.
  • Assist with accomplishing pre-repair/pre-installation ship checks and initial reports.
  • Handle WAF submittal and coordination, project work package updates and quality assurance documentation, daily reports, inspections reports, condition reports and material identification as required by the project.
  • Travel to client ships and sites for service, repair, and certification
  • Perform hydraulic ram/cylinder overhauls
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Candidate must have at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, transit decks, and perform work on Navy vessels.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well with others.
  • Comprehensive writing and communication skills.
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Navy Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical systems.
  • Must be able to obtain DBIDs pass and other clearances required to complete certain jobs.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
