Dedicated to helping those who are in need, Kristin joined Judeo-Christian Outreach Center (JCOC) as Development Director in 2018. She oversees fundraising, communications, volunteer and hunger relief programs.
Having served in the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years, Kristin’s experiences include working in the areas of international public and media relations, donor development, website production, and event planning. She has received certifications’ and training in areas including leadership development, media interviewing, HTML web development, and Tactical Combat Casualty Care.
Kristin is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Hampton Roads Chapter serving on its board and as Communications Committee chair. In 2024, she graduated from the 6th cohort of VCDC’s year-long Mission Elevation Program. Kristin represented JCOC as its emerging leader when the organization was chosen to participate in Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders program in 2019.
She holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Regent University and Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Spring Arbor University. Kristin and her husband Doug are active members of New Life Church, enjoy cycling and traveling to new places.
A true believer in the Housing First philosophy, Kristin’s goal is to educate, empower and encourage the Hampton Roads community in taking action in breaking the cycle of hunger and homelessness.
